Blue Algae - A Big Problem for Your Dogs

Have you ever walked along a lake and seen along the edge a pea-greenish muck with a slick surface? That’s water containing toxic algae blooms, bacteria that can photosynthesize. If the wind picks up in a certain direction, it collects the film/bacteria blooms and moves it into shoreline areas where animals may drink or swim. Now, when we see it, it’s yucky enough to stay away from however, our dogs don’t know any different and just want to jump in the water.
